A wellbeing space dedicated to supporting women living abroad as they navigate life’s transitions, reconnect with their identity and rediscover their confidence, self-worth and sense of belonging.
I’m a mum of two, originally from Switzerland and now calling Australia home. I have a genuine passion for wellbeing, personal growth and making a positive difference in the lives of women and children.
My own journey of building a life abroad inspired me to create Empowered to Thrive, born from a desire to help women reconnect with themselves, embrace life’s transitions, rediscover their sense of identity and belonging, and truly thrive in their new home.
As a mother, I developed a deep passion for children’s wellbeing and a strong belief that the foundations we build from an early age can shape how children see themselves, connect with others and navigate the world around them.
Driven by my desire to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives, I pursued qualifications in children’s wellbeing. Together with my experience working with primary school students, this led me to create Empowered Young Minds.
Outside of your comfort zone and without your support network can be very challenging especially when you are flooded with a lot of feelings and emotions, such as excitement.
Excitement, worry, sadness, guilt, grief and resentment can arrive all at once, leaving you feeling lost and alone, even years after the move.
"Start Living and Loving Your Life Abroad" - Xanthi Femia (Founder)
My vision is to make wellbeing a positive and meaningful part of everyday life, empowering women and children to discover who they are, recognise their potential and develop the inner resources to embrace life’s opportunities and challenges.
Through both brands, I hope to inspire personal growth, build a strong sense of self and create a lasting positive impact.
Because I believe that when we prioritise wellbeing from an early age, we build the foundations to thrive throughout life.
As my personal journey evolved, so did my passion for emotional wellbeing. My experiences as a mother gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of supporting children’s emotional development and building strong foundations for lifelong wellbeing. This inspired the creation of Empowered Young Minds — a space dedicated to helping children develop confidence, emotional resilience and essential wellbeing skills in positive, supportive and engaging ways.
Today, both brands reflect my passion for creating meaningful experiences that empower women and children to recognise their strengths, believe in themselves and develop the skills to thrive in everyday life.
Alongside Empowered Young Minds, Empowered To Thrive continues to support women navigating life abroad through emotional wellbeing resources, self-reflection practices and supportive community spaces.
My approach focuses on creating calm and supportive spaces that encourage emotional resilience, confidence, connection and a greater sense of belonging while navigating the transitions and challenges that can come with living away from home.

Whether newly adjusting to life in a foreign country or having lived abroad for many years, this workbook was created to help women feel more grounded, connected and supported throughout their journey.
Wherever life takes you, you deserve to feel connected to yourself, embrace who you are and create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.
