Hi, I’m Xanthi.
I’m the founder of Empowered Young Minds and a qualified Peaceful Kids Facilitator with a
passion for supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, confidence and resilience from an early
age.
Based in the Northern Beaches of Sydney, I offer creative wellbeing workshops and
mindfulness-based sessions for children within schools, after-school programs and community
settings.
Alongside my wellbeing work, I have spent the past 1.5 years working with primary-aged
students through after-school robotics programs within schools across North Sydney. This
experience has allowed me to build strong connections with children in supportive educational
environments and further deepened my passion for supporting young minds.
My journey into emotional wellbeing began through supporting expat women through my
wellbeing brand, Empowered To Thrive, which focuses on emotional resilience, confidence and
personal growth while navigating life abroad.
As a mum, my passion for children’s emotional wellbeing became even more personal when my
daughter experienced anxiety and emotional challenges within the school environment.
Supporting her through those experiences highlighted the importance of helping children
develop emotional awareness, resilience and healthy coping strategies from an early age.
This inspired me to create Empowered Young Minds — a calm and supportive space where
children feel encouraged to grow in confidence, self-awareness and wellbeing from within.
Sessions are designed to be
creative, engaging and age-appropriate, while supporting
children’s emotional wellbeing, confidence, self-awareness and
everyday coping skillswellbeing groups and supportive educational environments for children from Kindergarten to
Year 6.

Through guided mindfulness activities and practical wellbeing tools, children are supported to:
Children are introduced to age-appropriate mindfulness exercises, breathing activities and wellbeing practices that can support them both at school and at home. The focus is on creating a positive, supportive and emotionally safe environment where children feel encouraged, empowered and understood.
These sessions may benefit children who:
Born and raised in Switzerland with strong Greek roots, I moved to Australia in 2006 to
begin a new chapter of my life.
Although living abroad had always been a dream of mine, adjusting to life in a new
country also came with emotional challenges and moments of feeling between two
worlds while building a new life away from home.
Leaving behind family, familiarity and a sense of belonging often left me searching for
greater connection and stability — emotions many women living abroad can deeply
relate to.
Becoming a mother while raising my children away from family deepened that journey
even further and strengthened my appreciation for emotional wellbeing, connection and
creating a greater sense of belonging within myself.
These experiences ultimately inspired the creation of Empowered To Thrive — a space
supporting emotional wellbeing, confidence and personal growth for women living
abroad.
As my personal journey evolved, so did my passion for emotional wellbeing. Supporting
my own daughter through anxiety and emotional challenges within the school
environment later inspired the creation of Empowered Young Minds— a space
dedicated to helping children build confidence, emotional resilience and healthy
wellbeing habits in calm, supportive and engaging ways.
Today, both spaces reflect my passion for creating supportive environments where
women and children can feel more connected, confident and emotionally supported in
everyday life.
Gentle wellbeing workshops designed to support emotional wellbeing, self-reflection, connection and personal growth while navigating life abroad.

Supportive self-care resources created to help women feel more grounded, connected and supported throughout their journey abroad.
Your Expat Journey Back Home To Yourself
A Self-Care Workbook for Expat Women Living Abroad
Created and written by Xanthi Femia.
Inspired by my own journey living abroad, this guided workbook was created to support
expat women through the emotional challenges, transitions and identity shifts that can
come with building a life away from home.
Designed as a supportive self-care companion abroad, the workbook includes:

Children learn to recognise a rising wave and meet it with a breath - not a meltdown.

"I feel frustrated" instead of "I hate everything" - a small change that opens enormous doors.

Settled bodies fall asleep faster. Wind-down practices that work, even on busy nights.

Knowing their character strengths gives kids a sturdy place to stand when things feel hard.

Empathy practices help children listen, share and repair -the real skills of belonging.

Even five minutes of stillness changes how a child's brain meets the next maths page.
